At Solví, we see waste not as an end, but as the starting point for new possibilities. Our treatment plants use integrated technologies to transform waste into renewable electricity, strengthening a cleaner and more efficient energy matrix.
From the decomposition of organic waste in our high-tech landfills, we generate biogas, a mixture rich in methane (CH₄), with high energy potential. This biogas is captured, treated, and purified to fuel our thermoelectric power plants, where it is converted into electricity capable of supplying businesses, industries, and even entire cities.

Thermal power plants
The Carbon Credit (CBIO) market was created in 2019 by the RenovaBio Program, with the objective of encouraging the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the fuel sector. Each CBIO is equivalent to 1 ton of CO₂ equivalent avoided, emitted by producers and importers of biofuels certified by the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) and traded on the B3 (Brazilian Stock Exchange). Fuel distributors are required to acquire and retire a quantity proportional to their annual fossil fuel emissions.
